During the month of December ACT was busy with company Holiday Parties and President Walter H. Singer was busy playing Santa Claus. During the party in Sunnyvale at La Rinconada Country Club. Mr. Singer again presented a 10 year anniversary Rolex watch to Jason Catalano whom Mr. Singer said “ I have watched Jason for 10 years now, and he has grown into a great account executive for Advanced Chemical Transport”. Jason and everyone at the party had a wonderful time and received bonuses and gifts from ACT.

Jim has been with ACT for 10 years creating, supporting, and driving many of the processes and policies that have helped to make ACT a growing and successful company. The event was bitter sweet as this was Jim’s last day with ACT. Jim is relocating to Arkansas, to be with his new wife and pursue new business opportunities. Walter and the entire ACT family wish him good luck, & good fortune, he will be missed.
ACT Places on The Fastest Growing Private Companies List!

Advanced Chemical Transport has once again placed in The Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies List for The Bay Area. ACT ranked number 36 this year and is on the list for the third straight year. Walter H. Singer Founder & President has grown the company enormously over the last 3 years and has expanded outside of California to the Southwest. In response to ACT’s press release regarding the purchase of Rinchem’s environmental business, PR Newswire displayed ACT’s logo, recent professional awards and press release title in Times Square, New York City.

"Advanced Chemical Transport Inc. (ACT) of California has entered into a purchase agreement with Rinchem Inc of New Mexico to acquire its environmental services operations. Upon closure of this acquisition ACT will gain full access to its own fully permitted TSDF in New Mexico as well as 3 other facilities in the Southwest and Mexico. The divestiture will allow Rinchem Inc to focus on its primary business line of premier chemical handling solutions. ACT will use its specialized Hazardous Waste expertise to grow the existing Rinchem environmental service operations. ACT’s President and CEO Walter Singer states “This is an incredible opportunity for ACT. It is rare to find a firm that matches ACT’s commitment to quality, customer service, the environment and its employees. Rinchem’s operations will blend seamlessly with our current operations. We are proud to have such a talented and highly committed staff joining the ACT family. Having access to a TSDF with the compliance record and operational standards of ISO quality will present great opportunities for ACT to better serve its clients. ACT hires new Director of Sales in Southern California
ACT is pleased to announce that as of Aug 15th Vincent M. Cavaliere (Vince) will join Advanced Chemical Transportation to Manage the Southern California sales staff. Vince joins us with 21 years of environmental sales and marketing experience, all with one organization. In his previous role as Regional Sales Manager, Vince has managed annual sales revenues in excess of $45 Million with responsibility for all sales in four western states including California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. He brings to ACT a wealth of experience and knowledge along with a superior level of customer service. These skills will allow continued unparalleled successes in revenue growth for ACT in Southern California. It will also bring expertise in new geographic areas and market sectors of the Environmental industry.
On a personal note: Vince grew up in Canada and received his marketing certificate from Vanier College in Montreal. Along with 6 children, Michael, Ashley, Chris, Liam, Ryan and Cade. Vince enjoys sports, especially Hockey and traveling with his wife Maureen
10,000 drums

For the first time in its history Advanced Chemical Transport moved over 10,000 drums in the month of June. Walter H. Singer, President of ACT would like to thank the entire staff for their tremendous effort and hard work in June!

UC Merced building reopens after chemical spill forces evacuation
Advanced Chemical Transport was notified Tuesday by UC Merced to contain a hazardous chemical spill. A chemical spill on UC Merced campus forced the closure of a lab building for Tuesday evening. ACT sent in a cleanup team to handle the delicate operation. ACT was there in conjunction with CAL Fire HAZMAT and several local fire agencies and rescue service. ACT handled the spill within a few hours and was asked for its expertise on how to ensure this does not happen again. Read more...

Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. is proud to announce a yearly fuel savings of 3% for our transportation fleet! By utilizing high mileage tires and belly wings on all long haul trailers, we’re saving 30,000 gallons of fuel, equivalent to the amount a full railroad tanker would use in an entire year! Save a Tree Awareness Program
“We Make A Difference” when it comes to protecting the environment. Advanced Chemical Transport has recently launched it’s “Save a Tree Awareness Program” by switching to electronic billing for over 80% of our clients. We’re saving 100,000 sheets of paper per year, which is roughly 13 trees! Other benefits of this program include time and energy savings for ACT staff and clients, including the convenience of receiving pricing and billing updates via email. Walter Singer named to The Board of Advisors to Viterbi School of Civil and Environmental Engineering - 01/05/2011

Walter H. Singer Founder and President of Advanced Chemical Transport has been named to The Board of Advisors to Viterbi School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. As a USC Alumni this appointment is an honor to Mr. Singer, he will be able to affect the current and future students in the same way the teachers and advisors had an affect on him during his tenure as a USC student.
During his time as an advisor Mr. Singer will have the opportunity to advise the entire department on matters that will affect current curriculum as well as help set new industry standards and professional development in the field of Environmental Management.

The ranking is based on a percentage of revenue increase over a three-year period. ACT’s San Diego Office was included in this year’s top 100.
ACT named as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the Bay Area.
The Best Places to Work survey is conducted annually by The San Francisco Business Times, East Bay Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. ACT was ranked 3rd in the small business category based on the results of an employee survey covering work environment and culture, benefits and opportunities.
