Job Purpose Summary: This position will support operations for Advanced Chemical Transport (ACT) related to Merced , Ca site. Essential Functions:

  • Receives requests by telephone or email, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who best can provide the information, and routes the request to the proper person
  • Analyzes work orders, corrects records, and insures quality
  • Resolves customer questions related to orders , takes and clarifies orders as needed
  • Maintains liaison with other departments for order completion
  • Writes up order, mails correspondence and similar data to customer as required

Job Purpose Summary: Provide broad-based EH&S consulting services related to hazardous waste and hazardous materials management.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Conducting inspections and audits of client facilities to identify safety, health or environmental issues and recommending appropriate corrective or preventive actions
  • Developing and providing employee training for safety and environmental topics
  • Preparing permits or regulatory documents and assisting with regulatory agency inspections
  • Maintaining client relationships and developing new consulting business
  • Preparing technically accurate, complete and concise reports
  • Assisting with hazardous materials spill and release response as needed

The ideal candidate will be service oriented, able to work independently and able to balance multiple tasks. Development of new consulting business is paramount to the success of this position.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation and proof of insurance (vehicle allowance provided). Must be flexible with work hours; night, weekend and occasional overnight travel may be required.

  • Supervise and manage all aspects Hazardous waste programs on projects and onsite
  • Responsible for all ACT activities and programs on client’s site
  • Manage and coordinate the efforts of the all ACT onsite employees
  • Enlist ACT corporate resources as needed to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Manage and track facility-wide “cradle to grave” waste generation, storage, and disposal
  • Responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
  • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance
  • Oversee the Inspections of storage areas for leaks or spills
  • Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations
  • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
  • Sampling and profiling of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing
  • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork
  • Utilize waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program
  • Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal
  • Maintain and manage waste profile data
